Dog rose


Don't remember the proper name, sadly.

Yellow flowers, vicious thorns, grows vigorously. Would be good as a security fence.

Carpenter bees love the flowers and roll about in them. The bees also love Jacarandas, not for the blossoms, but for the dead branches which they bore into to lay their eggs. In turn the larvae attract woodpeckers. Quite a cycle, the end result being piles of saw dust on the driveway...
