Weekly status of tyre garden - update 6

Steady progress - nothing has died. The only thing struggling is the okra.

Not much this last week - filled some of the tyres and planted sweet pepper seeds. Fiddled with the irrigation to try and get things self sustaining - an extra run secially for the vegetable garden was set up today. I'll install and test the heads over the next few days.

The celery seeds I planted have decided to all sprout, after about 5 weeks.

Asparagus seedlings also sprouting after a similar amount of time - could be temperature related. The nights have dropped down to about 10C until recently. We're seeing consistently warm weather for the first time.

It's been dry... no rain to speak of this week.

Still got four tyres to fill. An average size tyre takes about 1.5 wheelbarrow loads of compost to fill. At long last I'm starting to see the end of my pile, which has been a decade or two in the making. After these are done, I can probably squeeze another three or four, max, into the available space.
