Custard Apple

We like the fruit, so when I saw one of these about ten years ago, I bought it and planted it out. It's taken a while, but it started flowering three years ago, and produced two fruit. Last year it flowered profusely, but nothing set.

I planted seeds from the fruit, and they sprouted quite readily, so I've got two of them growing in black plastic bags. An experiment - there's no room for more.

Maybe hand pollination will help this year, if it gets flowers. There's nothing showing yet.

At last signs of buds. I'd nearly given up. Will need to keep an eye on these, and hand pollinate.
