Our original lemon tree took ages to do anything useful, and just as it got going was dug up to make room for extensions to our outside room. Fifteen years later, here's the replacement:
About a year old, looks like it's going to grow without too many problems. There's some nice fat flower buds on it.
The idea is to produce large quantities of lemon juice to guzzle down for health reasons, but the problem is if you've got old teeth there'll be no enamel left on them after a few mug fulls. Can't win.
