Lovage
Grown from seed in a planter, where it struggled. Transplanted into a tyre, where it started doing well, then died off. I thought that was it, and started cleaning out the tyre in order to sow more seeds, only to discover a couple of large roots lurking underground.
These roots have just started putting out new leaves:
I had no idea they do that... and I still have a near full packet of seed!
