Macadamia

Our Macadamia is probably 30 years old. It still has a dent in the trunk from where my mom reversed into it with her Isuzu bakkie, and she's been dead for 23 years.

I haven't seen them on sale locally for a long time, but there's a fair number of seedlings sprouting underneath this one.

It's flowering like crazy at the moment:

Most of the flowers set, leading to a cluster of small nuts like a bunch of grapes. Then quite a few drop off as they increase in size.

It has been reasonably productive, despite being neglected, and consistently provides three quarters of an orange pockets worth of reasonable size nuts. Cracking the things is another matter - but the taste is rewarding.

The only other Macadamia I'm aware of in Grahamstown is the one near the main entrance of the Botanical Gardens, on the right just after you go in.
